Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at the resort. On one hand, the hotel was beautifully designed with stunning views, and the skiing was fantastic with nearly no lift lines. On the other hand, the service could use some improvement, especially in the dining options which weren't on par with what you expect in Japan. Overall, it’s a lovely place but not without its shortcomings when it comes to value and service.
My stay at Lotte Arai was a mixed bag. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and the onsen was a highlight. However, dining was disappointing, with the buffets lacking variety and quality. The ski slopes were limited as well, which made my experience feel restrictive.
This resort has a fantastic modern infrastructure and offers great lift access to the slopes, alongside spacious and beautifully appointed rooms. While the staff, especially Maria, were exceptionally helpful, the dining experience fell short with some mediocre food at high prices. The service could use improvements, particularly in communication and access to cash facilities, making it a mixed experience overall.
We had a fantastic time at the resort! The skiing was incredible, with excellent powder and various slopes to explore. Our room was spacious and modern, which added to the comfort of our stay. However, the dining options could use some improvement, and we encountered a few cold dishes at the buffet. Overall, it's a clean and luxurious spot for a short ski getaway.
The resort has an easy access from Tokyo with a comfortable coach service after a quick bullet train ride. The onsen facilities are absolutely fantastic, but the service was lacking, particularly in staff training and attentiveness. The rooms didn't meet my expectations considering the price, and the dining options were quite limited. Overall, it felt like the resort was more focused on maximizing spending from guests than providing a quality experience.
